Meeting was called to order at 19:40 with 23 present. Tonight we are again having a joint meeting with the SFMMA and the Dade Radio Club.

The SFFMA met first tonight.

Ronnie welcomed everyone to the joint SFFMA and DRC meeting. It is Veteran's Day. The meeting was broadcast live on the air tonight from the EOC. Testing is being conducted tonight in another room.

The microphone was then passed around the room and everyone stated their name and call sign.

Ronnie welcomed everyone again. We do not have a guest speaker tonight.

The minutes for the October meeting were posted on the web. A motion was made by Randy to accept the October minutes, seconded by Chris.

Repeater update:

Merritt reported on the 147.000. Still working. Nothing new.

Ray reported on the 146.760. It's working well. We are using it now.

Robert reported on the 220.000. Nothing new. Still has the cabinet key problem and it needs to be tuned. He needs to get together with John.

Carl was not present to report on the 444.200. Those present reported that it's operating nicely as far as we know and still working.

Old Business:

Randy announced that at the Kayak race on October 20, there were more hams than participants. Not as many people showed up as last time. Jeff said that maybe some people thought it was going to rain and the weather was going to be bad. But the weather turned out perfect. Thank you to all that participated.

Ronnie asked if there was any further old business. There was none.

New Business

Ronnie announced that he went to the bank and found out that we need to write a check to the Dade Radio Club for our funds ($2,436.57). Once the check clears, then we can close the account. The next meeting will be the SFFMA's last meeting on December 10, 2007. Everything should be finalized by then.

The Holiday Dinner for next month was discussed. It was suggested that we could have free pizza for everyone. Jeff is going to find out when the new kitchen will be ready. Robert stated that it is a bad idea to not have a Holiday Dinner. Ronnie also suggested that we have it somewhere else like a restaurant. Jeff stated that it would be too expensive. After further discussion by the members, it was announced that some kind of Holiday Dinner will be announced at the next meeting. Chris will organize something. We will have free pizza at the next meeting in December and tickets for the Holiday Dinner will be sold for Saturday, December 15 @ 7:30 PM. Tickets will be $10.00 per person.

Ray advised that at the Melbourne Hamfest that took place, Sat Oct 13 and Sun Oct 14 in Melborne he got some good deals. A lot of people packed up early on Saturday and Sunday was small like Friday. Philipe advised that the prices were high outside.

Joanne announced that Manny Alfaro, the new Civil Air Patrol Commander for Group 7 was there tonight. Manny spoke to those present about Civil Air Patrol and what Civil Air Patrol does. They have about 285+ members in Group 7. Joanne is the new Communications Officer for Group 7 and it encompasses all of Dade and Monroe Counties. Joanne and Caesar have been involved for many years. They are trying to get more cadets and senior members to become ham operators. Philipe advised that maybe some classes can be put together. Anyone interested in Civil Air Patrol can go to the website, www.cap.gov.

With no other business, Ronnie thanked everyone for coming and advised that snacks were in the cafeteria.

The SFFMA meeting was adjourned at 20:18. Dade Radio Club then conducted their meeting
